  Third Ave, Jennifer Way, Norris Ave, Oklamoma Road, Harman Drive, Braemar Court, Patterson Court, Brandenburg Circle, Kalorama Road from Jennifer Way to the end of Kalorama Road, Ash Brook Court, Revere Court, Concord Court, Blunker Hill Court, Dominique Court, Harlan Lane, Gray Way, Hawk Ridge Lane, Wimmer Lane, Caracara Court, Talon Lane.

§ 129-10. Container specifications; storage of containers.

 

(1)        Trash cans of a durable grade of galvanized metal or other suitable material approved by the Zoning Administrator, from 20 to 32 gallon capacity. They should be provided with two lifting handles on opposite sides and a tightly fitting cover with a lifting handle. The can should be without inside protrusions, and the solid waste should be loosely packed so that the contents shall discharge freely when the receptacle is inverted.

Where can I purchase trash cans

Residential Bulk Pickup

The Town offers a bulk pickup service to the residents of the Town. The fee will be a flat rate of $ 35.00 per pickup, over 300 pounds at $65.00 per pickup, over 500 pounds $125.00 per pickup. Please call the following Telephone : 410-795-8959 Town Office or 410-795-3186 Public Works Director. Please supply the following information.

2. Your Street Address

3. Please supply items that you are going to be disposing of.

 

What is Bulk ?  Bulk items are furniture, appliances. All items must be clearly marked"bulk colection", a  bulk items must be moved to curb side for removal.

The following items wil not be collected: Building materials such as sheet rock,siding,wood pieces or roofing.

Commercial Solid Waste Pickup

Our commercial pickup is two days a week, Monday and Thursday. Our start time is 0500 hrs.

The Town offers monthly rental and service rates for dumspters. Plesae call the Town Office for quote. 410-795-8959.

Carroll County Land Fill Information

Solid Waste Site Operations oversees the operation of Northern and Hoods Mill Landfills.

 

Northern Landfill is open Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. The landfill is located at 1400 Baltimore Blvd, Westminster (MD Route 140), two miles east of MD route 97. Click here for the Northern Landfill Brochure

 

Hoods Mill Landfill is open on Saturdays only from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to Carroll County residents only. The landfill is located in southern Carroll County at 7901 Kabik Court, Woodbine, 20 miles south of Westminster. Route 97 south to Hoods Mill Road (turn right) and left onto Kabik Court. Only cars, pick-up trucks (3/4 ton of less), sport utility vehicles, vans, and single axle trailers are permitted at this site. Click here for the Hoods Mill Landfill Brochure

 

Effective July 1, 2008 the tipping fee will change from $61/ton to $76/ton; automobile/minimum fee will change from $5 to $6

 

Recycling and composting operations are offered at both locations.

* Sealed drums, large              container & tanks of any      type.

* Large slabs of iron, steel      and similar items.

* Pipe over 4' in lenght of        4" in diameter.

* Dead animals
