Dining in Sykesville

E. W. Beck's Pub was established in July of 1992. It was founded on the idea that people deserve the best quality food for their money. That's why we: Prepare most items from scratch; fresh, not frozen! Buy only first quality meats, seafood and poultry. Use soy based oil in our fryers because it is low in saturated fat and cholesterol and minimizes risks for allergic reactions. Create unique chef's specials daily, using only fresh ingredients. We have enjoyed serving our friends and neighbors in Sykesville and its surrounding towns for over 15 years. We hope you enjoy your meal with us and come again! We thank you for your patronage.

Baldwin’s Station If you need a reason to visit historic Sykesville, Baldwin's Station can offer you more than a few. Housed in the town's original railroad station, the restaurant has been the recipient of numerous awards and favorable press since its creation by owner Stewart Dearie in August 1997. Baldwin's delivers outstanding entrees, superb service, and delightful desserts. The highly regarded menu consisting of freshwater fish, Black Angus beef and New American cuisine is prepared and delivered with a flare all their own. www.baldwinsstation.com

The Inn at Norwood is centrally located in the heart of Historic Sykesville, Maryland. Built in 1906, by the architect J.H. Fowble, The Inn at Norwood is a Colonial Revival home retaining much of its original charm. Mr. Fowble built many of the buildings in the town of Sykesville, but he built the Inn as his family's residence.

Relax on the front porch overlooking the town, or snuggle up in the parlor with a good book. The large guestrooms are newly renovated, all with private baths, 2-person Jacuzzi tubs, fireplaces, cable television, VCRs, air conditioning, and wireless internet.

Breakfast at The Inn at Norwood is truly a wonderful experience. Breakfast includes a 3 course meal. The first course consists of homemade breads and cakes, this could be blueberry muffins or chocolate chip pound cake. The second course is fresh fruit. This may be hot or cold depending on the season. The third course could contain Strawberry French Toast (another house specialty) with crispy bacon, or waffles with apple sausage, or many other scrumptious dishes.
