Millard Cooper Park Pavilions

  are available for rental from April 1 until October 31

Please call the Town House 410-795-8959 for an application.

Residents - (incorporated Town limits) - $25.00 plus a $10.00 refundable clean-up fee. Non-residents - $40.00 plus a $10.00 refundable clean up fee. Horseshoe equipment is available. All equipment must be returned the next day if equipment is used Monday- Thursday and on Monday if used on a weekend. Failure to do so will result in loss of $10.00 clean up fee. Checks for clean up fees are mailed every two weeks only. Only those pets on a leash are allowed at the park. Persons with pets are responsible for the removal of all pet wastes.

 

Building Permits

 A building permit is required from the Town of Sykesville and from Carroll County for improvements to the exterior of your property, including but not limited to: decks, pools, sheds, garages, additions, and retaining walls. Please call Dinah Riley at the Town House at 410-795-6390 and/or the Carroll County Permits & Inspections at 410-386-2674.

Property owners in the Sykesville Historic District must also submit an application to the Historic District Commission. Please the Town House at 410-795-8959 for information.

 

Town Services – Residents Only

Dumpster Rental

 Two cubic yard capacity dumpster is available @ $50.00 per week or per pick up. Dumpster will be dropped off on Friday and picked up on Monday or there will be a $5.00 pick-up charge. Rental fee must be paid before dumpster is placed.

Dump Truck Rental

$50.00 per weekend plus tipping fees at $47.00 per ton. Truck is available weekends only (Friday 3:00 p.m. until Monday 8:00 a.m.) Truck rental fee must be paid before truck is placed on site.

Bulk Trash Pick Up

 is available for a fee. Please contact the Town House at 410-795-8959 to set up an appointment for the Public Works Department to inspect items for calculation of fees. Fees are to be paid prior to pick-up.

 

Waste Collection and Recycling Reminder

All trash MUST be placed curbside by 5 a.m. to insure pick up on your designated trash day.

Recycling bins out by 5 a.m. on Friday.
