Memberships for 2010

The annual membership fee is $25 for individuals, families, and businesses.

Members get the Gate House Museum Newsletter.

Those who contribute $100 or more are recognized as Life Members.  Many who provide an annual membership add additional contributions to show their support of the Museum.  These funds are used in multiple ways: some to offset operating costs, purchase items for the museum that are not budgeted, or go into a reserve fund for future growth and expansion.

Volunteer Opportunities

The museum is highly dependent on volunteers for its ongoing work and success.  Volunteers can select from one of the following areas of need:

1.     Data entry – posting the museum’s large collection of items

2.     Exhibit design, planning, and assembly

3.     Grounds maintenance, especially in the spring and fall of the year

4.     Power Point presentations for program use and for visitors who missed prior museum events

5.     Research for an increasing number of internet inquiries regarding local history
