The Sykesville Police Department would like to remind our community that the Town has an ordinance that attempts to monitor door-to-door sales and solicitations. This ordinance is in place for the protection and maintenance of the health, safety and welfare of our citizens and to prevent dishonest business practices or solicitation of funds. This ordinance requires individuals to register with our Town before going door to door. Please help us keep these protections in place for our community’s safety and welfare. Notify the police of any such activity by calling 410-795-0757 or 410-386-3000.    FIRST RESPONDER’S CONCERT  Sykesville’s Corporal Dave Lewis was cordially invited to attend a performance by Daniel Rodriguez at Westminster High School Friday, October 23rd sponsored by the Carroll County Community Concert Association.  The concert honored both Daniel Rodriguez for his rendition of “God Bless America” during the aftermath of 9-11 and Carroll County’s first responders and their families. Daniel Rodriguez was a street cop in New York City and became known as “The Singing Policeman” due to being designated as one of the National Anthem singers.
